The foundation stone of CHANDRA UDYOG, Howrah was laid down by Hon’ble Late Mr. Sushanta Chandra in 1987. Chandra Udyog is engaged in the manufacturing of very high technologically oriented components for Railway application.

As the leading sustainable Locomotive shell provider in India, Chandra Udyog always offers a comprehensive portfolio of offerings to meet customer specific needs, from cost-efficient mass-market platforms to high-end technological innovations. This company is an approved source of Indian Railway. The objective of this company is to enhance the production capacity of locomotive shell for the ever-increasing demand of Indian Railways (IR) and to generate employment opportunities.

Chandra Udyog has been involved in Manufacturing and supply of Complete Locomotive Shell Assembly, Traction Motor Parts, Bogie Frame, Electrical & Electromechanical Parts for Electric Locomotive and Machined Components, Castings for Rolling Stock.

Chandra Udyog is certified to ISO/TS 22163:2017, IRIS ,ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 Chandra Udyog’s Foundry is also accorded with the status of CLASS ‘A’ by RDSO (RESEARCH DESIGNS & STANDARDS ORGANISATIONS) MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS, GOVERNMENT OF INDIA.
